Mennonites

Mennonites trace their roots back to the Anabaptist movement in the 1500’s that began as part of the Protestant Reformation in Europe. The Anabaptist-Mennonite tradition emphasizes a close reading of scripture, personal spiritual responsibility, and pacifism.

As Mennonites, we strive to embody the life and teaching of Jesus through a life of service to others in our own local communities and around the world through service organizations like Mennonite Central Committee.

The Amish and Mennonites share an early history but have since grown into distinct traditions.
